12" Three-Arm

I had an indoor water fountain years ago -- or, as I called, an expansive cat hair filter. Threw it away. But, here in lockdown, I wanted to bring in the outdoor touch. I was grossed out by most everything offered on amazon. I also did not like the look of cutesie poo fountains on neighbors' porches: fake farmhouse and pre-distressed verdigris, it turns out, do not age well. I was delighted to find this product. It supplies the 'works' of the fountain, on a base, and you supply the container. It is spout, a base (bridge) and a pump. It is real bamboo. No poly resin. So, it feels good, it looks good and it sounds good. It also ages naturally. It gets a little grey in the wet places. The pump works well. I use it in a big pot so it doesn't get dirty. The great thing is, I could choose my own container. I could choose my own plants. I bought this set up first, and tried it out at home, before buying the container. I tried it out with mixing bowls, with garden pots, with anything that could hold water. It worked just fine. I kept searching amazon, and found the right container. I threw in some live bamboo, also from amazon, and also live cuttings. Excellent purchase.

I love water features. However, the sound can either soothe me or irritate me if it's too loud. This was cost effective, and most importantly I could control the outcome and tailor the ambiance to my liking. Plus it was fun finding things around my house to put it all together. The bamboo is solid and put together well. It could have looked very cheap and low budget but thankfully it doesn't. The hose fits tight around the fittings. The motor is so quiet. You do not hear it there no humming or noise coming from it. That I love. It's worth the money if this is a route you're looking to take.

Kept going back and forth on what kind of fountain to buy.. then chose to make one instead.. Bought this and designed around it. I really like it for a lot of reasons. Pros: • Three "speeds" for the pump • Very low pump noise / hum • Can use with a variety of bowl / container sizes • Very simple to install After a week of use, I had some leaking in the back of the bamboo opening. Once I tilted it forward, it was still dripping... So I sprayed the back with clear sealant and it's fine. That said, it works fine now... Great sound, beautiful looking, and I'm happy. (Note: I use either spring or distilled water for two reasons. One, your pump will thank you and it will last longer. And two, I have live bamboo in there -- lucky bamboo will die if you have fluoride in your water, which almost all tap and even some filtered water has.)

I went back and forth about whether or not to get this for so long and I didn't have to because it is exactly what I needed to create the perfect fountain for me! Once I found the perfect vessel (12 inches in diameter) and chose this spout, we put stones in the bowl, filled it with distilled water and a couple of drops of EasyCare FounTec Algaecide and Clarifier and we were in business! The fountain has been running non-stop for over 2 months with no problems at all. I am so pleased with the quality of this spout and how beautiful it makes my fountain!
